Rosedale Outfall Tunnel
The new outfall tunnel was constructed to ensure the discharge of high quality treated effluent was 2.8 kilometre out to sea. This project was part of the North Shore City Councils pledge to protect and improve quality of beaches in the area.Wilson manufactured the 3 kilometre, 2.8 metre diameter precast segments to form the tunnel from the wastewater treatment plant out to sea.
This tunnel has been guaranteed with a 100 year life span and up to six times more capacity than the existing outfall.
